When can I return to vigorous “exercise” after laser eye surgery?

Interview transcription:

In an interview, Alex Shortt explains how soon you can return to exercising after laser eye surgery

Interviewer: When can I return to vigorous exercise after laser eye surgery?

Alex Shortt: After laser eye surgery, we ask patients to take it easy for two days and not to do any exercise for those two days. We ask them to use their eyedrops, and on the second day, we check them to make sure everything’s fine.

On the third day after laser eye surgery, it’s absolutely fine for patients to go running, to go to the gym, to return to basically all normal activities. That’s absolutely fine.
