We use a protective gel to protect the insides of the eye and we carefully remove the natural lens through these keyhole incisions. After this, we\u2019re left with an eye that has no lens and, therefore, the eye is not focused.We then have to place a lens implant in the eye. The type of lens will depend on the patient’s unique eyes and what they hope to achieve.
