I mean, is there any kind of pain involved?Alex Shortt: Absolutely not. It is completely painless.What’s involved is, as a day case procedure, it takes maybe one and a half to two hours in the clinic. We give you some mild oral sedation \u2013 a tablet to relax you. Then we put eye drops in to numb the eyes.We make our small little keyhole incisions, and we use anaesthetic inside the eye to numb all the internal parts of the eye. Then we place the lens implant in place and seal the small incisions.
